A Verizon employee in Summit County faces charges after shooting at a customer Saturday following a dispute, the sheriff's office said.

Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree said the shooting happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. at a Verizon store in the 8200 block of Golden Link Boulevard in Northfield Center Township.

According to officials, a dispute broke out between the male employee and a customer prior to the employee firing at least two rounds at the customer and running out of the store.

Nobody was hurt in the shooting, Fatheree confirmed. One of the bullets exited the Verizon store and struck a vehicle at a car dealership across the street.

The Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit, which responded to the incident, arrested the 27-year-old employee without incident.

Officials state charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
