A shocking crime has come to light at Mulihitlu junction in the city, where a shop owner allegedly burned his employee to death over a trivial matter and attempted to mislead the public and the police by claiming the death was due to electric shock.
The accused, Tauleen Hassan (32), a resident of Pandeshwar and owner of Mashupa general store, is believed to have killed his employee, Gatian Thi Jaggu.
According to reports, Hassan intentionally set fire to the shop around 8:30 am on Saturday with the intention of killing Jaggu. Later, in an attempt to destroy the evidence, he falsely conveyed to the public around 1:30 pm that Jaggu had died from electric shock.
When Gatian Thi Jaggu was rushed to Wenlock Hospital, doctors confirmed his demise.
The city's South Police swiftly conducted an investigation and obtained evidence from the public, revealing that this was indeed a case of murder. Consequently, Hassan was arrested.
