MEMPHIS, Tenn. -  A gunman pulled up to the drive-thru window of a Memphis McDonald's, but he wasn't looking for a hamburger, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Instead, according to MPD, when the gunman approached the window around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, he pointed a gun at the employee inside.

MPD said he got out of the backseat of a stolen Hyundai Sonata and demanded cash from the employee at the McDonald's on East Shelby Drive.

He sped off in the stolen car after getting the cash, according to police.

It's hardly the first time a fast-food restaurant has experienced drive-thru danger in Memphis.

Earlier in the month, MPD began investigating a string of Taco Bell burglaries where suspects routinely pulled up to the fast-food restaurant, pulled guns on employees and then climbed through the drive-thru window to burglarize the business.

MPD asked anyone who recognizes this man or has any information about this robbery to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
