MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (WLOS) — A pastor at a Haywood County church is accused of taking money meant for the church.
Cole Altizer is listed as a pastor at the Maggie Valley United Methodist Church. According to a warrant from Maggie Valley police, Altizer took $540 from the church last weekend. He’s facing a felony larceny by an employee charge.
Altizer has a court date scheduled for Jan. 10. Maggie Valley’s police chief said it’s an unfortunate situation for the whole community as the investigation continues.
