FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – As part of the university’s efforts to promote the health and safety of campus, all University of Arkansas employees who are scheduled to work, either on campus or remotely, will be required to complete a health self-assessment prior to each day of work, beginning July 7.

This certification will be offered as a one-question survey through the employee’s Workday portal.

HR representatives will generate daily reports to confirm that employees scheduled to work have completed the self-assessment certification. Employees who are working remotely will complete the survey by specifying that they are working remotely on that day.

Employees who are coming to campus will receive a brief summary of COVID-19 symptoms and situations that they should consider before certifying that they are symptom-free and have not been in high-risk situations. Information will also be provided about what to do in situations where employees have experienced symptoms or experienced high-risk situations.

Employees should not come to campus if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms of illness — if you are not feeling well, stay home and call your medical provider or Pat Walker Health Center.
  • Anyone recently diagnosed with COVID-19 in the previous 14-days or awaiting test results.
  • Anyone who has had contact with a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and who has not received approval from ADH to return.

Employees meeting any of the above criteria should contact their supervisor to advise them they will not be coming to work.

Contact Human Resources (HR) at hrassist@uark.edu or 479-575-4044 with questions regarding work status.

In addition to the daily self-assessment certification, employees will be required to practice social distancing and wear face coverings when social distancing isn’t possible on campus.

For more information, please consult the university’s guide to Returning to Campus.
