WPP’s Mirum U.S. CEO Amanda Seaford Is Leaving the Agency - Adweek

After a year and a half, Mirum Agency’s Amanda Seaford is leaving her role as U.S. CEO of the WPP shop.

Seaford announced the move in a note sent to Mirum staff today, which was obtained by Adweek.

In the note, Seaford informed staff that Feb. 1 will be her last day, calling her tenure “an amazing adventure” and adding that she is “truly thankful to have had the opportunity to work with such a fun, talented and amazing team” and “proud of what we accomplished together.”

Seaford joined Mirum as its first U.S. CEO in July 2018.

The move comes as Mirum is integrated into Wunderman Thompson North America, though it will maintain an individual brand identity, a source with knowledge of the agency’s operations told Adweek, characterizing Seaford’s departure as a result of that integration. Existing Wunderman Thompson North America leadership will absorb Seaford’s responsibilities, with no plans to seek a replacement specifically for the role, according to the source.

The news follows Mirum founder and global CEO Dan Khabie stepping down nearly a year ago, and comes on the heels of the agency closing its Los Angeles office earlier this month as part of a broader restructuring also attributed to the Wunderman Thompson North America integration.
