A 63-year-old state park employee was slashed with a knife by a woman who was refused entry to an area closed to the public Saturday.
The Massachusetts State Police said the park employee told the woman and her companion at about 2:10 p.m. Saturday that the gate to Barrett’s Pond in Carver was closed and the public was not allowed in that area. The woman then attacked the man, slashing him with a knife.
After the altercation, the woman and her companion fled the park, leaving via the Long Pond Road and the Plymouth entrance to the state forest.
