A student at Republic High School and an employee of the district's child care program tested positive for COVID-19.
The district notified families and staff by email Sunday of the cases.
"Our thoughts are with these individuals as they navigate this illness and we wish them an easy and quick recovery," wrote Josey McPhail, director of communications, in the email.
"Our goal in sending out this notification is to be as transparent as possible in providing information our families and employees need to remain as healthy as possible during this uncertain time."
Under direction of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, all students and staff exposed to individuals with positive cases were contacted directly.

The Republic High student, who was not symptomatic, was contagious while at school on Tuesday and Wednesday last week, the district said. The student wore a mask.
The employee who tested positive works in the Tiger STRIPES program, a before- and after-school program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
According to the district, that employee was contagious but not symptomatic. He or she worked Tuesday and Wednesday last week and wore a mask.

McPhail wrote: "Because of the small, stable groups implemented for Tiger STRIPES the potential spread is isolated." As a result, no quarantine or isolation was needed for others.
