This weekend’s edition of Straight Talk with Laural Porter features Laura Hennum, chief executive officer of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
The program will focus on the direction health care takes after COVID-19. The show was recorded at the KGW studios in Portland.
Hennum was joined on the KGW set by Becky Hultberg, Oregon Association of Hospitals & Health Systems president and CEO. They discussed the hospital capacity crisis in terms of how health care got to this place and how it could be fixed.
“I talked about our challenges with pent-up health care demand,” said Hennum. “I also shared gratitude for our health care professionals. I encouraged the community to embrace telehealth and other alternative access points.”
Straight Talk will air three times this weekend, Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 6:30 p.m and Sunday at 9:30 p.m.
