After a short pursuit, he was taken into custody. He was arrested on outstanding warrants and the domestic violence complaint.

• Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of South Third Avenue. The residence has been condemned for a few years, but a man was seen on the back porch. Upon checking the house, officers found the rear door to be unlocked. The inside of the house was a mess. The owner was contacted and said he recently purchased the house and was last there in March, but the house was not damaged at that time. The case is under investigation.

Saturday, Sept. 26

• A tenant at Hillcrest Apartments was issued a noise warning and civil infraction MIP.

When officers went to speak with the man about what happened he fled out a bedroom window, leaving his 4-year-old daughter inside the house. The other adults in the house would not wake up. With no adults waking up to take care of the child, her grandfather was called and he responded to the house to take care of her. While officers were still on scene, the man went back into the house through the window he left out of. He was arrested for domestic violence and an outstanding warrant from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office. Charges will be requested for hindering and obstructing as well as child endangerment. A referral was sent to Child Protective Services.

• A former employee at Rite Aid was found to be taking prescription medication from the pharmacy. This has been going on for approximately one month. He allegedly confessed to the theft when he was confronted about it. A report was taken and once an investigation is completed, the case will be forwarded for review.
